Important: DentiPath products provide educational and personal-planning tools only. They are not financial, legal, tax, accounting, employment, clinical, or other professional advice.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use are a legal agreement between you and DentiPath Technologies Inc. (“DentiPath,” “we,” “us,” and “our”). By accessing dentipath.ca, downloading a DentiPath app, or using a DentiPath product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or apps.
2. Products covered
These terms apply to the DentiPath website and to DentiPath apps, including DentiPath Finance and DentiPath Ledger, when available. Some features, pricing, trial availability, platform support, App Store links, and product descriptions may change before or after release.
3. Product purpose
DentiPath products are designed to help users model and track dental-related financial and professional workflow information. Features may include calculators, saved scenarios, production entries, expense entries, lab-fee tracking, associate split calculations, monthly summaries, reports, backups, and exports.
DentiPath is not a practice-management system, charting system, billing system, payroll system, tax filing system, accounting system, legal service, or clinical decision-support system.
4. Eligibility
You may use DentiPath products only if you are legally able to agree to these terms and are old enough to use the products under the laws that apply to you. The products are intended for dental students, dental professionals, and adults evaluating dental finance and workflow scenarios.
5. No professional advice
DentiPath products provide educational and personal-planning tools only. They are not financial, legal, tax, accounting, employment, clinical, business, investment, lending, insurance, regulatory, or other professional advice.
Calculations, summaries, benchmarks, examples, labels, categories, and exports depend on the information you enter and the assumptions you choose. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for verifying all results before relying on them.
Always consult qualified professionals before making decisions about employment agreements, compensation terms, taxes, accounting treatment, borrowing, investing, practice purchases, clinical care, regulatory compliance, or legal obligations.
6. No patient-identifiable information
You must not enter patient names, chart numbers, dates of birth, health-card numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, clinical notes, radiographs, clinical photographs, medical histories, treatment details, or other patient-identifiable information into DentiPath products.
DentiPath products are not designed to comply with clinical-record, health-information, or dental-office documentation requirements. If you choose to enter prohibited information, you are responsible for that use and for any resulting obligations, losses, or consequences.
7. Your entries, assumptions, and records
You are responsible for all information you enter, import, calculate, save, export, or share using DentiPath products. You are also responsible for confirming that your use complies with applicable laws, school rules, employer policies, associate agreements, confidentiality duties, and professional obligations.
You should not enter information that belongs to an employer, clinic, patient, colleague, or third party unless you have the right to use it for your personal planning and tracking purposes.
8. Local storage, iCloud, backup, and data loss
DentiPath apps are designed to store app records locally by default. If optional iCloud sync, CloudKit sync, backup, restore, or export features are available, your use of those features may involve Apple services, device settings, cloud storage, or exported files outside DentiPath’s control.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of records you need. DentiPath is not responsible for lost data, corrupted data, failed sync, device loss, deleted backups, operating-system changes, App Store issues, or third-party cloud-provider behaviour.
9. Exports and sharing
If you export a CSV, PDF, image, text, JSON, backup, or other file, you are responsible for reviewing the file, storing it securely, sharing it appropriately, and ensuring it does not contain patient-identifiable information or information you are not authorized to disclose.
10. App Store purchases, subscriptions, trials, and refunds
DentiPath apps may be distributed through Apple’s App Store. Downloads, purchases, in-app purchases, subscriptions, free trials, offer codes, billing, taxes, refunds, cancellations, family sharing, and account management may be handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and your Apple account settings.
If an auto-renewing subscription is offered, it will renew according to the App Store terms shown at purchase unless cancelled through Apple before renewal. If a free trial is offered, it may convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled according to Apple’s process. Refund requests must be made through Apple unless another process is expressly provided.
DentiPath may change pricing, free-tier limits, paid features, subscription availability, or promotional offers as permitted by applicable law and platform rules.
11. Apple platform terms
For DentiPath apps downloaded from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement may apply unless a DentiPath app provides a separate custom licence. Apple and its subsidiaries are not responsible for DentiPath products, support, warranties, claims, or user content except as required by Apple’s applicable terms or law.
Apple, App Store, iCloud, iPadOS, iOS, macOS, CloudKit, Face ID, Touch ID, and TestFlight are trademarks or services of Apple Inc. DentiPath is not affiliated with Apple.
12. Licence to use the apps
Subject to these terms, any applicable App Store terms, and your compliance with the law, DentiPath grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use DentiPath apps for your own educational and personal-planning purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code from, bypass security in, or create derivative works from DentiPath products except where the law expressly allows it.
13. Website use
You may view and use dentipath.ca for lawful personal, informational, support, and product-evaluation purposes. You may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, scrape at unreasonable volume, introduce malware, bypass security, or use the website in a way that harms DentiPath or others.
14. Feedback and support submissions
If you send feedback, ideas, bug reports, screenshots, suggestions, or other submissions to DentiPath, you give DentiPath permission to use them to provide support, improve products, develop features, and operate the business without owing compensation to you. Do not send patient-identifiable information, confidential third-party information, or information you are not authorized to share.
15. Intellectual property
DentiPath names, logos, icons, app designs, software, website content, text, graphics, trade dress, and related materials are owned by DentiPath Technologies Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of DentiPath intellectual property to you.
16. Third-party services and links
DentiPath products may reference, link to, or interoperate with third-party platforms or services, including Apple, iCloud, App Store, Cloudflare, email providers, export destinations, and user-selected sharing tools. DentiPath is not responsible for third-party services, content, uptime, data handling, policies, or failures.
17. Changes, updates, and availability
DentiPath may update, modify, suspend, remove, or discontinue products, features, pricing, website content, or platform availability at any time. We do not guarantee that any product or feature will remain available, uninterrupted, secure, compatible, or error-free.
You are responsible for installing updates where appropriate. Some features may not work if you do not install updates or if your device, operating system, Apple account, region, or subscription status is unsupported.
18. Acceptable use
You agree not to use DentiPath products to violate law, infringe rights, store patient-identifiable information, misrepresent outputs as professional advice, interfere with security, overload systems, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, harass others, or process information you are not authorized to use.
19. Privacy
Your use of DentiPath products is also governed by the DentiPath Privacy Policy. Review it carefully to understand how DentiPath handles website, app, support, and platform-related information.
20. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DentiPath products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. This includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
DentiPath does not warrant that calculations, summaries, reports, exports, examples, formulas, labels, or content will be accurate, complete, current, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with your needs, or accepted by any employer, accountant, lawyer, regulator, tax authority, lender, school, clinic, or professional advisor.
21. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DentiPath Technologies Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, lost opportunity, inaccurate calculations, professional decisions, tax consequences, employment outcomes, or reliance on product outputs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DentiPath’s total liability for any claim relating to the website, apps, or these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to DentiPath for the specific DentiPath product giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.
22. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DentiPath Technologies Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of DentiPath products, your breach of these terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or your entry, export, or sharing of prohibited or unauthorized information.
23. Consumer protection
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection laws. If a mandatory legal right applies to you, these terms apply only to the extent permitted by that law.
24. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you, courts located in Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these terms or DentiPath products.
25. Changes to these terms
DentiPath may update these terms as products, pricing, laws, platforms, or business needs change. The effective date will be updated when changes are made. Continued use of the website or apps after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
26. General provisions
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. DentiPath’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without DentiPath’s consent. DentiPath may assign these terms as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
